Things we see when we are lost
There was a body hanging – turned left – I saw a mother face, but I walked past and counted my steps. A hundred of smashed worms. I didn’t have any colored thoughts in mind. I took a glance at a house to the right, where there were lights of lanterns, and smell of pickled fish. I stopped behind the bush, waiting for the fish to open the door and come out. But the fish never came out. The green smell trapped it in and I knew it so I left. I trekked up the hill that wrapped around a river where I could see my reflection, looking like a mother, with her face ripped with a cut. I thought I could kill us. So I threw a pebble from atop down to the stream. Water splashed everywhere so I ran away, into a sunset of broken yolk. I was drenched with the egg sauce, smelling fishy so I had to step into a pond of oil. Sunny side up, and so was I.
